Rattlesden History group welcomed Commonwealth War Graves Commission volunteer speaker Suzie Morley to the RHG Community Tea at the Pavilion in April.

Suzie delivered an informative and engaging presentation about the incredible history, scope and work of the CWGC locally, nationally and internationally.

This was accompanied by the RHG display detailing those local servicemen who fell in the First and Second World Wars. Suzie featured the Steggles family within her presentation, and the CWGC commemoration for George Steggles, situated at Rattlesden Baptist Chapel.

As usual teas, coffees and cakes followed the presentation and networking, and we were pleased to raise £100 in donations on the day that has been directed to the CWGC.
